Mental Health and Work Indicator Training
Created: 08/03/2018, Updated: 13/03/2018
These workshops are for Fife Council and Opportunities Fife Partnership funded employability staff and managers to gain knowledge and experience of using the new Mental Health and Work Indicator.
The Delivering Differently Mental Health and Work indicator will be a requirement for all new employability service clients registered on FORT from 01 April 2018.
The Delivering Differently Mental Health and Work Indicator is designed to be used as part of an organisation’s existing client interview/assessment process. Its purpose is to:
Help frontline staff have an appropriate (and supportive) conversation with people about how much their mental health might impact on their journey to work;
Ensure people who have more complex mental health problems are identified as early as possible and get signposted to appropriate support; and
Inform data on the scale on which mental health problems affect people on the employability pathway in Fife.
Participants will also receive basic mental health awareness training and information on signposting to appropriate support.
These workshops are being delivered by qualified staff from Fife IPS and Fife’s Occupational Therapy Department.
They have been funded through the Fairer Fife programme and organised through Delivering Differently. Delivering Differently is a partnership between Fife Voluntary Action, Opportunities Fife Partnership, and Fife Health and Social Care Partnership that is working towards a Fife where people with mental health problems can easily access appropriate support as and when they are ready to make the journey (back) into work.
