Join us at this interactive, informal workshop to explore how we can improve mental health and employment services here in Fife.

This interactive workshop facilitated by the Scottish Recovery Network and hosted by Fife Voluntary Action will give you the opportunity to talk about mental health and employment services here in Fife.

The information gathered at this workshop will allow us to hear what has worked well within mental health and employability services, and what we can do to make them even better.

These workshops are being organised through Delivering Differently which is a partnership project that envisions a Fife where people with mental health problems can easily access appropriate support as and when they are ready to make the journey (back) into work.

    Who should attend?

This event is open to people in Fife who:

    • Have lived experience of mental health problems
    • Are carers
    • Work in mental health services
    • Work in employability services
    • Employers

    We are committed to having a range of experience and expertise at each workshop. To help us meet this commitment can you let us know if you meet any of the following criteria (please let us know in Step 4. “Tell us about any accessibility or other requirements”) and we will confirm your place directly;

    • Supporting someone with lived experience to attend
    • Have your own lived experience
    • Care for someone with lived experience
    • Work for an organisation and have lived experience

We are keen to create a space for people to contribute and no-one will be asked to identify themselves by their experience or workplace. This information will remain confidential to the admin planning team for these workshops. We are taking a ‘no badges, no labels’ approach.

If you do not meet the above criteria then we will confirm your place as soon as we have an appropriate balance of participants.

We are really needing help from partners and providers to encourage people with lived experience of mental health problems to attend these workshops and have their voice heard so if possible we urge you to support someone along on the day or to spread the word to increase bookings. Please note that when you click ‘book a place(s) now’ that you are requesting a space at the workshop. You will get an e-mail through to confirm your request has been received. This is not a confirmation of booking. Your confirmation e-mail will be sent through when your place has been accepted.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served at this workshop.

Not able to join us? Don’t worry, contact Christine to request a copy of our feedback form to make sure your voice is heard – just let Christine know if you’re responding as an individual or as a member of staff from an organisation.

Non-Staff: Expenses can be provided for your attendance at this workshop. A maximum amount of £8.70 can be claimed in exchange for your Fife dayrider ticket. Please keep your ticket as you cannot claim expenses without this.
