Hours: 7.5 hrs/week - weekends
Salary: £22,240 pro rata (Approx dependent on experience)The Yard is a children’s charity who runs adventure play and respite services for disabled children, young people and their families in the east of Scotland. They offer disabled children and their siblings the chance to experience creative, adventurous indoor and outdoor play in a well-supported environment. Since they opened in 1986, their services have grown significantly, but they will always retain a holistic approach and ethos of a child-centred and child-led play service.
They are looking for a dynamic individual to supervise the development, planning and delivery of sessions in the new setting in The Yard Kirkcaldy. The successful applicant will lead, supervise, and deliver, with other members of the Play Team, a range of inclusive social, recreational and adventure play-based activities both on The Yard’s premises in Kirkcaldy. Understanding and/or experience of working with or supporting children and young adults with disabilities and their families is essential, along with an ability to effectively supervise and support staff.
