It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.Equally Safe - Scotland's Strategy for preventing and eradicating violence against women and girls, puts a strong emphasis on prevention, early intervention and partnership working. Violence against women is a cross cutting issue affecting a significant proportion of our community, particularly, but not exclusively, women and girls including domestic abuse, sexual violence, childhood sexual abuse and commercial sexual exploitation. Fundamental to challenging violence against women is addressing societal values and attitudes.
This day will look at both national and local campaigns in the context of our local strategy and the following priorities:
- Improving Service Response;
- Increasing Public Understanding;
- Helping Children and Young People have a Greater Understanding of VAW and Healthy Relationships.
This event is for managers and frontline staff across all sectors including Fife Council, Police Scotland, NHS Fife and 3rd Sector Organisations, particularly those working in the community - including with children and young people, or with individuals with lived experience of violence against women.
