It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act came into force this year, and communities in Scotland can now make use of it!
This free workshop is a chance to find out what the Act contains and how to make use of it in order to do the sorts of things you want to do as a community. As well as providing a general overview the workshop will introduce you to:
- How community organisations (including communities of identity) can use 'participation requests' to start a dialogue with public bodies about things that matter to them. This will be the main focus of the workshop.
- New opportunities to be part of community planning processes in your local area.
- Provisions around asset transfer and community right to buy.
