  • Fife Choose Life - Remembrance walk for those lost to suicide

    Created: 17/08/2017
    News/Events Category: Community Events

    When: 2.00pm-4.00pm, Saturday 09 September 2017
Where: Outside Fife House, North Street, Glenrothes, KY7 5LT
This event is being organised by Fife Choose Life

It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

The walk will start from the pedestrian area outside Fife House in Glenrothes at 2.00pm. The route is about two miles long through Riverside Park (the Town Park). From Fife House the route crosses to Lidl's and entering the park opposite, then along the river side to the large pond. At the pond each person attending will be given the opportunity to scatter flower petals on the water as an act of remembrance. From there the route doubles back a little then forks right up hill to finish at St Columba's Parish Church, Rothes Road, Glenrothes, KY6 1BN where refreshments will be served.

The start point is about 500 steps away across a couple of car parks. The walk is being led by volunteers from Active Fife. If people can't manage the full walk there's the opportunity to join at the large pond in the park beside the main car park off Leslie Road at about 2.20pm or at the Church from about 2.45pm.
