Salary: £8.25 per hourThistle Foundation have a vacancy for a Personal Assistant to join three small dedicated teams who support young men living in their family homes in Fife. The young men all have full and interesting weeks doing things that they enjoy this includes swimming, music, drama and some sports. They all love being out and about and accessing the local and wider community. It is important to all the young men and their families that they all have full and interesting weeks doing things they enjoy. The person who joins these teams should be able to work at the pace that suits the young men and also will spend time getting to know each of them well before doing any one to one lone working.
The normal work pattern will be approximately 8.30/9.00am-6.00pm and can include some respite or evening work at times. This is a 10-15 hour vacancy which needs some flexibility to work on a set rota and to work with the team covering any annual leave or sickness which could mean offering to work at short notice.
Applicants must be available to travel to the Thistle Foundation in Edinburgh for most of this training (travel expenses will be reimbursed). Staff are required to have good communication and social skills to work effectively with families and other members of a small team.
