    It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

    This full day course is facilitated by Fife Rape and Sexual Assault Centre (FRASAC) and Kingdom Abuse Survivors Project (KASP) and is aimed at those who are already working in an area where contact with survivors of abuse is common. The training will look at men and boys' experience of surviving childhood sexual abuse, rape and sexual assault and how they can often be the hidden victims.

    The aim of this course it to:

    • develop an understanding of the specific issues for men and boys who have experienced abuse;
    • to look at what may be unique to being a male survivor, examine the barriers to disclosure and challenge myths and assumptions;
    • to identify ways we as workers can support male survivors.

    On completing this training participants will:

    • have an increased understanding of the difficulties male survivors face;
    • recognise the difficulties around disclosure or reporting;
    • know how best to cope with disclosure and the subsequent challenges that may arise for you as a worker as a result.
