    Created: 22/06/2017
    News/Events Category: General News

Dunfermline Advocacy’s advocates and partners attended their annual Summer BBQ Partnership event on Wednesday 21 June 2017.

Over 50 people were in attendance including some special guests including their patron, Councillor Jim Leishman - Provost of Fife as well as Councillors Gerry Haldane, Mino Manekshaw and Fay Sinclair who were there to witness first-hand the valuable work that they provide to vulnerable adults in West Fife.

Dunfermline Advocacy provides support for citizen advocacy partnerships across west Fife. Citizen advocacy matches local volunteers with vulnerable adults in the community to provide invaluable support and friendship, giving each individual a chance to have their voice heard and represented.

The staff would like to thank everyone for attending but also to the two generous companies who kindly donated to the event.

    • Tesco and Dunfermline Fire Station who, for a second year running, have donated burgers, sausages and rolls for the event.
    • Co-op at Linburn Road, Dunfermline who kindly donated refreshments and home baking for the event as well as two volunteers to assist on the day. Dunfermline Advocacy is a chosen Co-op Local Cause and you can support them by clicking here.
