  • Greener Kirkcaldy - Annual Gathering and AGM - Food Matters

    Created: 26/04/2017
    News/Events Category: Community Events

    When: 10am - 2.30pm, Saturday 27 May 2017
Where: Adam Smith Theatre, Bennochy Road, Kirkcaldy
This event is being organised by Greener Kirkcaldy

It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

Join Greener Kirkcaldy for a free event to explore the importance of food in our community, and how the food we grow and eat can have an impact on people and place.

Greener Kirkcaldy has plans for a Community Food Hub in Kirkcaldy - a place where people can come together to grow, cook, eat and learn. Hear about what we are planning and have a short tour of the town centre premises that have purchased.

They will also have two inspiring speakers on the day to talk about how they have been involved in creating places that focus on a range of 'food matters' including community food, local and sustainable food, sharing food skills and more.

Working with local people and their members is really important to them and they want to ensure that they run projects and activities that will benefit all of the community. They'll be starting a conversation to explore and generate ideas for what they would like to do over the next five years from 2018.

They would really like to hear about what's important to you, so come along and tell them what you think. We'll be exhibiting lots of information about our work and how you could get involved, including volunteering opportunities and membership of Greener Kirkcaldy.

Their Annual Gathering will run from 10am (tea and coffee from 9.30am) until 1pm and the AGM will take place after lunch at 1.45pm.

Booking closes on Tuesday 23 May, so book your place now! This event is free of charge but you must book a ticket. If you have an e-mail address you can book directly through their Eventbrite page.

If you want to book a place and do not have an e-mail address, please contact their office using the contact details provided below.

They look forward to seeing you at the event!
