RNIB - Children's Activity Club Worker

Hours: 12 per week, evenings (usually between Monday and Thursday)
Salary: £15,874 - £17,148 pro rata (£8.46- £9.14 per hour)
Contract: Temporary (Project funded until 30 June 2018)
RNIB are looking for a Children's Activity Club Worker who will bring energy, ideas and experience to help deliver fun, person-centred activity sessions for children with additional support/complex needs and sight loss. This will be an evening service over 4 evenings (usually between Monday and Thursday); The Eye Can Do Club. There are sessions for 2 age groups: 5-12 and 12-18. There may also be opportunities to assist at other RNIB events.
You will have a Childcare/Health and Social Care qualification and will have relevant experience in delivering creative, developmental, person-centred activities/services for children. You'll provide person centred choices and stimulating activities as well as social, emotional, personal and physical care. You will have excellent skills in building positive relationships and motivating children to get the most out of their time in the club.
You will be values led which will be crucial to your success in this role. Complex Needs services are dedicated to improving the lives of people with learning disabilities and sight loss by working to make sure they have the same opportunities as everyone else.
