Hours: 12 hours per week (evenings) Salary: £18,510 (£9.86 per hour), rising to £20,165 (£10.74 per hour) after successful completion of 6 month probationary period
Contract: Temporary (Project funded until 30 June 2018)
RNIB are looking for a dynamic Assistant Project Coordinator for RNIB Complex Needs services, based in Kirkcaldy, Fife, to carry out duties within the Children's Activity Club and to assist the Coordinator with relevant tasks and responsibilities as required to lead the team and deliver excellent services.
RNIB Complex Needs services are dedicated to improving the lives of people with sight loss and learning disabilities/complex needs by working to make sure they have the same opportunities as everyone else. This is a new evening club delivered over 4 evenings; The Eye Can Do Club. To support the Activity Club Coordinator with relevant tasks you may be required to work flexibly out with the set times the club is operating, and this may include being available for other RNIB events.
As Assistant Project Coordinator, you will have a minimum HNC/SVQ3 related to Childcare, or a relevant academic qualification, as well as experience in child care, community work or children's social care, ideally in a similar role. You will have skills and experience in delivering and leading person centred services for children with additional support needs. You'll creatively provide stimulating activities, personal, social, emotional and physical care in a person centred way.
You must be able to motivate children in getting the most out of their time in the club, and be able to build good relationships with them and their families. You will be values lead which will be crucial to your success in this role.
