    BASE aims to achieve equality for people with a visual impairment in East Fife. They aim to empower visually-impaired people to pursue their life with dignity and respect. They are looking for a Volunteer Co-ordinator, on a voluntary basis, to assist in the co-ordination of voluntary activities.

    This role will involve the following:

    • To meet with prospective volunteers;
    • Maintain and develop volunteer records;
    • Carry out Disclosure procedures and act as signatory for the group;
    • Attend BASE Committee meetings and/or liaise with committee members;
    • To arrange appropriate training of new volunteers in liaison with a representative from Fife Society for the Blind;
    • Liaise with external agencies;
    • Create press releases as and when required;
    • Co-ordinate Annual Report in conjunction with Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer.
