YMCA Glenrothes has been provided services for over 55 years in Glenrothes to become one of the largest voluntary organisations in Fife supporting young homeless people. The charity also provide alcohol and drug education services throughout Fife as well as daily activities from its community centre in Glenrothes. There are 36 staff including a management team and 25 volunteers.
This April, the Board of Directors is seeking two skilled people to join its existing strong governance team. You should have some time to spare (averaging 1 day per month which includes training), an experience of working in the public, private, or voluntary sectors, and a genuine interest in helping youth and the wider community, particularly those who are disadvantaged.
You should be interested in advising the charity with its three-year strategic programme which includes the alteration in property accommodation for young people and the expansion of existing substance misuse educational and intensive support programmes.
Prospective trustees are invited to speak informally with the Chairperson or another Board member, prior to submitting an application form.
