Volunteer Management Course 2, Effective Volunteer Recruitment
Created: 11/09/2018, Updated: 13/09/2018We asked people who attended these sessions earlier in the year, what they liked most about our training - here are some of their comments:
Course Content
Despite the constant interest in new and better techniques to recruit volunteers, the true challenge in the volunteer field is first having meaningful activities for volunteers to do. Without preparation you run the risk of attracting people who do not really meet your needs and therefore are the wrong volunteers for you; and having the wrong volunteers may be worse than having no volunteers at all.
Included in the course:
• Motivations for volunteering;
• Developing opportunities;
• Methods of recruitment;
• Recruitment messages;
• Recruitment strategies.
Who should attend
Anyone who has, or is expecting to have, responsibility for recruiting/managing volunteers in their organisation.
In order to offer places to as many organisations as possible, we are only able to offer two places on each date to members of the same organisation. If your organisation would like to send more than 2 people, please get in touch with us to discuss options.
Cancellation Policy
We ask that you give us a minimum of 5 working days notice of cancellation. If you do not attend and either do not cancel or give less than 5 working days notice, then your organisation will be charged £25.00.
Accreditation Award
All participants will receive a certificate of attendance. Notes from the session will be forwarded to all participants who complete a post-training evaluation form that will be e-mailed to you.
