Northlight Heritage - Back in the Habit: Digging for Inverkeithing’s Medieval Friary
Created: 16/08/2018Would you like to help undertake an archaeological investigation of Inverkeithing’s Medieval Friary? Join the Fife Coast and Countryside Trust and Northlight Heritage between 03-14 September to get Back in the Habit!
As part of the Fife Pilgrim Way project, a community dig will take place in the grounds of the Medieval Friary in September, Scottish Archaeology month. Inverkeithing has a rich medieval history and the site now occupied by the Friary public gardens was once home to a 14th century Franciscan Friary complex, considered to be Scotland’s best preserved urban Medieval Friary.
