Start your day knowing you will make a difference! The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is a leading voluntary organisation, supporting people with a broad range of needs to live in their own homes, as part of their community. They are an organisation driven by strong values and a firm commitment to choice, dignity and social inclusion. Although they support over 2800 people throughout Scotland, they are committed to delivering services that recognise people as individuals and treat them with dignity and respect.
They are currently looking to increase our staff resource in the Kennoway and Leven area and are looking for people who can help their supported individuals to achieve their own positive outcomes. They are therefore looking to recruit new staff members to join the team. If you`re fit and healthy with a wide range of personal interests and activities, and are willing to share your community contacts with those you support, this could be the opportunity for you.
The first post is supporting a young woman in her home and is for female staff only due to the personal care needs of the supported individual. The second post is supporting a young man in his home and can be either male or female staff. No care experience is necessary for these positions, but they are also seeking people who have previously worked in this type of service and who are looking to develop their career with an organisation committed to achieving outcomes for the people they support and for the staff.
People with skills in supporting those with autism and learning disabilities will find this a great service to be part of. This is an excellent opportunity to make a change in your life and in that of the people they support. The work can be challenging, but as well as a competitive salary, enhanced pension contributions and annual leave, childcare vouchers and discounts at over 850 online and high street retailers, they can offer you a rewarding and satisfying role in your local community.
The closing date for applications is Friday 25 May 2018.
To apply and for more information please visit their website at and enter reference number 1208. PVG checks will be required of all successful applicants; having a conviction will not necessarily debar you from working in this sector. All new staff members will be required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of their start date. The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is an Equal Opportunity Employer Charity No: SC021621
