    News/Events Category: Community Events

    When: 10.30am-12.30pm, Saturday 19 May 2018

It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

Learn how to make your own compost and deal with weeds, whilst working with nature. Simone from Solar Ripe Medicinal Garden will discuss the best methods to make compost and what you can do with 'weeds' - taking a mindful approach. This workshop will introduce ideas of permaculture, biodynamics and organic gardening, all of which work with, rather than against, nature. They'll look at what people traditionally think of as weeds and how you can use them in purposeful ways. They'll also discuss how to make rich compost to boost the health of your gardens.

There will be a mix of theory and practical hands-on activities. Herbal tea will be provided, and participants will receive a hand-out to take home. No experience necessary. Please wear suitable gardening clothing. There is disabled parking on site and the venue is wheelchair accessible.

Booking is required as spaces are limited. Full price: £15. Greener Kirkcaldy members: £13.50. Concessions (low wage/unwaged): £12. To book your place please click here.
