    Places for voluntary sector delegates (staff, committee members or volunteers) £80.00 per person
    Places for non-voluntary sector delegates are £100.00 per person

    Who should attend:

    Anyone who is working/volunteering/family care for someone with mobility issues and needs assistance.

    Course Aims:

    To give participants the knowledge and confidence of assisting someone in a care environment using proper and approved methods of Moving and Handling.

    Included in the course are the safe and approved methods of:
    • Moving from sitting to standing;
    • Moving from standing to sitting;
    • Assisted walking and walking using handling aids;
    • Use of non-mechanical aids.

    Additional Information:

    The course has a physical element and all particpants must be able to kneel, crouch and be able to stand from a kneeling/crouching position.

    Accreditation Award:

    All participants will receive a certificate on completion of the course.

    Progression/further study:

    Particpants must have attended the Moving and Handling Principles course (24 August 2016) prior to attending this one.
