    Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is highlighting their asbestos campaign ahead of Global Asbestos Awareness Week, 01-07 April 2024. 

    Asbestos remains in millions of homes and buildings today and it can become dangerous when disturbed or damaged. The HSE is currently running two asbestos campaigns - Asbestos And You, and Asbestos - Your Duty.

    Asbestos and You

    The HSE Asbestos and You campaign urges tradespeople to stay aware of hidden asbestos and protect themselves and others from exposure to asbestos fibres during their work. Resources include:

    Asbestos – Your Duty

    This campaign raises awareness of the legal duty to manage asbestos in buildings and aims to reach those responsible for maintenance and repair of non-domestic buildings built before the year 2000. This campaign will have the most resonance for third sector organisations, especially those who control/own their own premises.
