Funded by the Scottish Government and supported by Inspiring Scotland, this £10m fund over four years provides funding to charities who support those affected by the negative consequences of childhood abuse, enabling them to enjoy the highest attainable standard of living, health and wellbeing, and family life.
The Survivors of Childhood Abuse Support (SOCAS) fund has three overall intended outcomes:
- An increased number of survivors are supported, leading to recovery from childhood abuse
- Adult survivors receive an enhanced quality of support, resulting in better recovery and increased resilience
- The survivor support sector is strengthened through collaborative and partnership work amongst third sector providers and statutory services
Funding Available
The fund will provide £3,345,000 over 18 months from 01 October 2024 until 31 March 2026, for organisations to build on the provision of support to adult survivors of childhood abuse.
This fund will focus on continuing and improving third sector services for adult survivors of childhood abuse in Scotland.
Who Can Apply
You should be:
- Incorporated and a registered charity or a SCIO
- Operating in Scotland
- Already delivering services to adult survivors of childhood abuse

If you think you are eligible and would like to apply, you need to complete the Expression of Interest Form. You will then be sent a link to the online application form.
