NSPCC Listen Up, Speak Up campaign - How to get involved
Created: 29/01/2024Next month, the NSPCC is launching its Listen Up, Speak Up campaign nationally – aimed at empowering everyone to know that to do if they are ever worried about a child or family – and they are offering third sector organisations free online training and in-person workshops.
About the campaign
It’s up to all of us to help keep children safe, so Listen Up, Speak Up is for people who may not work with children or families, but might encounter them regularly- either through their work or personal lives.
When we all listen up and speak up for the people around us, we can make sure that children always come first. It might mean stepping in to help juggle childcare, providing a listening ear to a struggling teen, or calling the NSPCC Helpline if you think a child is at risk
How to get involved
There are two ways to get involved and they're both free.
NSPCC is encouraging every adult in the UK to take the training to learn how to listen up and speak up for children. They will show you:
NSPCC can deliver an hour-long workshop at your workplace, school, club or community group. These are completely free of charge and will be delivered from February 2024 onwards. Anyone aged 18+ is welcome to attend.
