Mental Health and Wellbeing in Primary Care and Community Settings
Created: 07/09/2023Can you help improve mental health and wellbeing support in Fife? If so, please read on.
In September 2022, the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership Mental Health and Wellbeing in Primary Care and Community Settings project board set out a vision that integrates a community-based system to support mental health and wellbeing. This will ensure access to the right service in the right place at the right time and enable people to live independent and healthier lives.
To successfully do this, we need to understand what changes might be needed, what it means to people, and what pattern of community-based provision can best support people.
Why get involved?
A co-production process will allow us to have conversations between people who use, plan and deliver services in Fife. The aim is to combine everyone's knowledge, skills, and experience, in equal partnership, to make changes that can achieve the best outcomes and make a meaningful difference to people's lives. Only once this stage has been completed will any decisions be made about mental health and wellbeing services in Fife.
The co-production activity will be focused on three localities - Levenmouth, North East Fife and Cowdenbeath.
The events are a co-production between Fife's Health and Social Care Partnership, Fife Centre for Equalities,NHS Fife, Lived Experience Team, and Fife Voluntary Action.
What will be asked of you?
If you are someone who lives or works in one of the localities named above, we would like to invite you to participate in one of our events (details below). Come along to share your insights into what matters to people who are living with mental health and wellbeing challenges and the changes that could make a difference.
These events will be co-facilitated and supported by a team of people who have lived experience of mental health and wellbeing challenges, and will involve several activities to help you share your experiences. Sessions will last 3-4 hours.
